On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where I list all the books I desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It’s also an event that you can join in with too – Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own ‘On My Wishlist’ post. If you want to know more click here.

I am slightly pressed for time today, as today is my oldest son’s 6th birthday and party!  Yep 6 years ago today, I joined the mamma ranks, and today I celebrate by wrangling about 15 kids aged 6 and under around an indoor arena full of bounce houses….good times!  Anyways, here are just a couple books off my wish list:

Dragon Bound (A Novel of the Elder Races)Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison
I keep seeing this book everywhere, and my interest has peaked….gotta read it now
Here’s the blurb from Goodreads:

Half-human and half-wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful-and passionate-of the Elder races.

Blood Song by Cat Adams
I have book 3 of the series, but I hate reading out of order, so I need to read book 1 first….
Blood SongBlurb from Goodreads:

Bodyguard Celia Graves has definitely accepted her share of weird assignments, both human and supernatural. But her newest job takes the cake. Guarding a Prince from terrorists and religious fundamentalists is hard enough, but it seems like the entire supernatural world is after this guy too. When she is betrayed by those she is employed to help, and everything goes horribly wrong, Celia wakes to find herself transformed.
Neither human nor vampire, Celia has become an Abomination—something that should not exist—and now both human and supernatural alike want her dead. With the help of a few loyal friends—a sexy mage, a powerful werewolf, and a psychic cop—Celia does her best to stay alive. On the run from her enemies, Celia must try to discover who is behind her transformation…before it’s too late.

  1. Blood Song sounds good. I've never tried reading a series out of order. I think it would bug me too bad knowing I'm missing something!
