On my Wishlist is a weekly blog meme that runs every Saturday.  We all get to share which book or books we have on our wish-list, they can be old, new, not yet released, but they are books we really want and haven’t bought or received yet.  On My Wishlist is hosted by Book Chick City, so if you want to participate stop by and get the info.

So, what’s on my wishlist this week:

Afterlight: The Dark Ink ChroniclesAfterlight (The Dark Ink Chronicles #1) by Elle Jasper.  I want this because I have seen it around a bit, and I love the tats on the cover.  This looks like a great urban fantasy read, and I’m quite curious.

Q. Genre Wars! What’s your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)
A. My favorite genre, I’m gonna go with Urban Fantasy.  I love the genre, the strong heroines, the paranormal elements, the different worlds created.  The book that made this genre my favorite: Dead Until Dark, book 1 in the Southern Vampires/Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris.  I am a huge Sookie fan, and I even like the TV show True Blood that is loosely based on the book series.

This week’s pick is Bloodlust by Michelle Rowen.  This is book 2 in Michelle Rowen’s Nightshade series.  I read book 1, Nightshade and really enjoyed it.  (review of Nightshade).  I am now eagerly awaiting Bloodlust.  Here is the blurb from goodreads:

My Review:
  Untamed Magick is a quick, fun, sexy read.  The concept behind this book, that of 4 brothers living with the legacy of a dark curse that could destroy them, is interesting and provides excellent storyline for this novella.  I liked the characters immediately, the mysterious witch, Graelen and the very sweet empath Rena.  When their paths collide, sparks fly.  Rena gives Graelen a new perspective on the curse he is afflicted with, and gives new hope to Graelen and his brother.  The sex is steamy, provocative, and well written.  
  The book is short, a novella actually.  However, the plot is strong, as is the writing and the characters.  With an intriguing concept, sexy, dangerous men, and magic mixed in Untamed Magick is a great read.  Untamed Magick is book 1 in a series, and after reading it, I am looking forward to the next installment.   
  I would recommend this novella to fans of paranormal romance and erotic romance.  Untamed Magick is only 99 cents on Amazon.com, and it is definitely an awesome deal!
