Book Blurb From Goodreads:
Someone is trying to send a deadly message to Mason, arranging the deaths of those he loves and it puts the entire pack and Alpha on high alert. Plans are made but when the enemy strikes another painful blow by entering into the heart of pack property and kidnapping Darcy, Mason declares war. There’s nothing he won’t do to keep his future mate and pack safe. Darcy understands the primal instincts driving her beloved Mason’s commands. With the help of those he sets as protectors, she learns about herself and the things she’ll need to help support her Alpha and pack. When events turn dire however, one truth offers her strength – once given, a blood oath is unbreakable … even if it means risking it all.

My Review:

Belinda Boring continues her mesmerizing Mystic Wolves series with book 3, Blood Oath.  Blood Oath picks up right where Cherished leaves off.  Mason and Darcy join a meeting with some of their pack members and the vampire Enforcer, Devlin.  The pack and their friends are trying to determine where the vampire blood Gary had ingested came from and determine who was really behind the recent attacks.  At the same time, the pack prepares to lay Jasmine to rest.  However, an enemy is on the loose and he is targeting those closest to Mason, that includes Darcy.  Darcy is kidnapped, and Mason must find and defeat the enemy, before it’s too late.

Blood Oath is different from the previous books in the series, there is more taking place, more events.  The first 2 books were centered around solitary events or time periods, but Blood Oath spans a few days and multiple different events.  The story really continues forward, and the story line changes quite a bit.  Just when I thought the story would wrap up a certain way, Belinda Boring throws in a curve ball.  I read this novella in one sitting, I just did not want to put it down.  I was completely absorbed in the story.

While Blood Oath is a novella, the story line is again fully developed and the book is very well written.  I don’t think Blood Oath is my favorite installment in this series.  Mason’s attitude is a little all over the place (with good reason), but I still LOVED this installment and as long as Belinda Boring keeps writing this series, I will keep reading.  I love the way each book in this series picks up where the last left off and how the story really keeps my attention.

I very highly recommend this series to paranormal readers.  You do need to read these books in order though, so, follow the links below, and get your copies TODAY and start reading, you will not be disappointed.
