Blurb from Goodreads:
Only a fool would think they could steal from a werewolf …
Anticipating a quiet night alone with the man she loves, Darcy’s world is sent into a spin with the arrival of someone from the past—Mason’s. She is further shocked by the intruder’s claim she may not even be the true mate of the Mystic Wolves Alpha. Accusations start to fly, leading to her new enemy being granted asylum, and this is just the beginning of trouble.
Relying on the reassurances of Mason and the support of her friends and Pack, Darcy soon falls under attack. Suspicions are raised, and with no other choice, she must flee with Devlin to safety where hopefully they can untangle the lies hidden behind the use of magic. Time is quickly ticking away, leading to a showdown where everything is on the line.
They need to uncover the truth before it’s too late, or once again, Darcy will need to fight to hold onto her dreams.
My Review:
When Belinda Boring debuted the first installment in the Mystic Wolves series, I was hooked. The first 3 installments of the series have been converted to one full-length novel and Forget Me Not is the much anticipated continuation of the series. With Forget Me Not, Belinda Boring once again delivers an absorbing and exiting story.
It has been awhile since I’ve read the Mystic Wolves series, but I had no trouble diving right into Forget Me Not. The story begins with a strong hook, another werewolf has come to claim Mason as her mate. Neither Darcy or Mason are pleased with this development, and the new wolf brings even more problems for the much beleaguered pack. With help from Devlin, a vampire and supernatural community enforcer, Mason and Darcy work together to keep their pack in order.
I really feel for the characters in the Mystic Wolves series. They have been through a lot (the loss of a member, kidnapping, crazy vampires), and the closer Mason and Darcy get to their mating ceremony, the more problems arise. I really felt for Darcy in Forget Me Not, in trying to abide by the rules of the council, she was separated from her pack. While Mason and Darcy’s bond is very strong, they do not have an easy road. Their relationship is a special one, both Mason and Darcy are good for each other and they prove the depth of their relationship more with each installment in the series.
In Forget Me Not, I was also very intrigued by Devlin and his relationship to Mason and Darcy, and to his hopes and motivations. There is plenty of room for future stories, especially after the surprise ending. Readers, Belinda Boring will draw you into the story and leave you craving more…immediately. The book ends on a cliff-hanger that I definitely did not expect.
With charming characters, action, romance and werewolves, Forget Me Not is an excellent read. The romance, while very sexy, is very sweet and clean. The Mystic Wolves series is a wonderful read, especially to those who enjoy werewolf and paranormal reads, and I would recommend reading the series in order. I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire Mystic Wolves series so far, so kudos Belinda Boring, I can’t wait for book 3!
