A few weeks ago, my husband and I had a date day. We visit the wineries a lot, but around our area of Southern California there are also breweries. In the nearly 10 years that I’ve lived here, we’ve never been to visit the breweries, so we made a day of it. We visited the Stone Brewery in Carlsbad. We had lunch at the bistro and it was excellent food. We toured the brewery and enjoyed our beer tastings. The Stone Brewery has a really pretty garden area so it was a wonderful place to kick back, enjoy a beer and the day. We also stopped by Lost Abbey, which is in a warehouse area and was decorated with some wild artwork and barrels. I loved the atmosphere at both breweries. They were completely different, but very fun.
Stone Brewery:
These pictures are from the tour. The big silver things hold the beer until it can be bottled. The sculpture, it’s Stone Brewery’s beer bible. I got a kick out of it
The beer was pretty good too.
Lost Abbey:
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! Happy Reading,

It’s a dark beer, I forget what kind… Thinking of it now though, I’m wondering if they would have any green beer for the St Patty’s weekend, that would be super fun…

While I don’t drink beer or wine, I have been on a wine-tasting stop on a mystery bus trip. The tanks for holding wine are different from those you show. Love the statue.

Looks like you had a lot of fun! I’ve never been to a brewery, but we do have a lot of vineyards around here. I enjoy looking at them from afar as the seasons change.
