Hey everyone! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve joined in Saturday Snapshot, but being relegated inside due to my bum foot, there haven’t been many opportunities for exciting pictures. I guess I could show you the most recent shot of my “zombie foot” as I have now dubbed it, but that might just gross you out (there is the scar, bruising, steri-strips, and I painted my toe nails black because pink would have just looked wrong…). It really does look like I’m ready for Halloween… Anyhow, As I’m sure some of you have surmised by now, I live in Southern California, right by the So Cal wine country! There is not too much to do out here in the inland empire, but we have the wineries, and I LOVE visiting. My husband and I are members of a few wineries, and it was time to pick up our wine shipments the other day. So, we made a day of it, went to the wineries, picked up our wines, and got to enjoy some free wine tastings. It was a beautiful day, and this picture pretty much summed it up…
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Have a Happy Halloween too, cheers!

Lovely pic.
I envy your environs.
You make me think of that movie “Sideways”….. except, you are having a much better romantic time, all the way ’round.

LOL, sideways was a fun movie though, been a long time since I’ve seen it…

What a nice picture, and what a lovely day that sounds, even with your zombie foot!

Sounds like a fun day. Happy halloween to you too!

Jealous that you’re so close to all those lovely wineries. Hope the wine eases the pain of the bum foot. Here’s Mine

I am a big fan of wine (and wineries). Three years ago, I spent a week in Napa, enjoying the whole scene.
Thanks for sharing your photos…and I hope your foot heels nicely. I actually always have dark nail polish (purple, usually).
Here’s MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST

I really want to visit Napa, it’s pretty high on my “places to travel” list
October 27, 2012 at 6:10 am
That looks a good place to be cheered up in – sunshine and wine, such a good combination. I hope it helped your foot!

Looks like healing ‘medicine’ to me!! Feel better!
October 27, 2012 at 4:55 pm
wine really is a helpful “medicine” (in moderation of course
)

My friends and I went to Temecula in So Cal a few years ago and did a winery tour – it was a lot of fun!
October 27, 2012 at 4:59 pm
I live right next to the temecula wineries, that’s where we taste. We membership hop all the various wineries

You are fortunate to live in the Wine Country. I love visiting wineries and tasting new wines! I’ve been to a few in Northern CA, but never Southern CA. Hopefully, someday!

Given that it’s almost Halloween, a zombie foot would be appropriate. But I’d rather see the glass of wine… and drink a glass too.
October 27, 2012 at 5:04 pm
between zombie foot and wine, i will always choose the wine. I figured everyone else likely would too…
October 27, 2012 at 12:34 pm
I hope they filled those glasses up for you!
Sounds like a lovely day.
October 27, 2012 at 5:05 pm
yep, i decided to take a picture when i had almost finished my tasting… we had plenty of wine though. One of these days when you come to so cal, I need to take you tasting with me!
October 27, 2012 at 2:35 pm
I call a trip to the winery a fine use of your down time! Cheers!
