So, my In-laws took my boys camping for the weekend last weekend (YAY!!!). Both of my kids are old enough to do this, and they love it. Since we were kid-less for a few days, my husband and I decided to spend some time at the Temecula Wineries! We love the wineries, it’s so relaxing over there, it’s beautiful, and there’s plenty of wine! I have a few pictures to show off to you, enjoy!

I was so excited, I finally got a picture of a roadrunner! I have seen them around, but these little critters move really fast, and I don’t always get my phone/camera out in time (uh, I never get my camera in time). For this picture, we were leaving Europa Winery, and I practically jumped over DH to get a picture, so it’s not the clearest picture ever, but I’m just happy I snapped it before the roadrunner was gone…

I’m impressed by the roadrunner snap – he’s not as big or as colourful as the cartoon one – but he sure looks speedy!! Usually if I take a snap of myself after a visit to wineries it would be far blurry than yours and I would be wearing very rosy cheeks and a silly grin

I agree. The blue of the sky is amazing and the roadrunner does look like his cartoon pal. I’m jealous of your winery weekend. I’m going to a funeral today.

A roadrunner, that’s so cool. I’ve looked when I’ve been in areas where they are, but never seen one. They really do look like their cartoon friends.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture of a roadrunner before! You hear so much about coyotes but nothing about roadrunners.

Ha, we saw a road runner just this week. We live in a rural area that is slowly being taken over by new roads etc.
And yup, he was running across the road.

Looks like you had a lot of fun! I’ve only seen a roadrunner once, and that was when I was a teenager, sitting in the backseat of my parents’ car in a parking lot of a small town somewhere in the middle of Nevada. I remember thinking that it wasn’t nearly as cute as in the cartoons, but now that I see your photo I think the one I saw may not have been healthy. Because it definitely wasn’t a speedy bird and looked kind of dirty and sickly. Maybe it was molting or something. Anyway, it’s cool that you were able to get a photo of one!

I have never visited a “real” winery, where grapes are actually grown. We have several wineries in our area, and they have some really good wines. Like RED ASS RHUBARB!.. The label always makes be giggle, it of a red donkey.
