Blurb from Goodreads:

Five stunning guys, one hot woman, and a feverish romance…

For him, life is all music and no play…

When Brian Sinclair, lead songwriter and guitarist of the hottest metal band on the scene, loses his creative spark, it will take nights of downright sinful passion to release his pent-up genius…

She’s the one to call the tune…

When sexy psychologist Myrna Evans goes on tour with the Sinners, every boy in the band tries to seduce her. But Brian is the only one she wants to get her hands on…

Then the two lovers’ wildly shocking behavior sparks the whole band to new heights of glory…and sin..

My Review:

Warning: This book is absolutely NOT appropriate for readers under 18. If you aren’t of age, quit reading this review….

Backstage Pass is definitely a HOT read. It took me a bit to get over the fact that the main character’s name is Myrna. This is an erotic romance and the main character’s name makes me think of grandparents, weird to read at first. However, even the characters in the book laugh at her name a little, so it just took some getting used to.

I love the whole rock star theme, and that the band are a heavy metal, party hard band. Each of the band mates has his own personality, and in Rock Hard we get to meet each of them. I really liked Brian, the main male in this book. He is such a romantic at heart, much more so than Myrna. I liked Myrna, but she kept referring to herself as a “whore” (well, she heard her ex husband call her that A LOT in her head), and it got old. I was tired of hearing that term by the end of book.

This would not be a complete review without mentioning the sex. The sex is hot, and there is A LOT of it, and lots of different ways to have it. The characters experiment quite a bit, and push each others boundaries. The setting is perfect, where else is such open and exploratory sex so okay than a rock band on tour? Not all of the sex is romantic, but I would still classify this book as an erotic romance.

Bottom line: With the lure of rock stars on tour and plenty of passion, Backstage Pass piqued my interest in the rock stars and hooked me into the Sinners on Tour series, and I can’t wait to start book 2, Rock Hard.

If you like romance on the steamy (and dirty) side, or have ever crushed on a rock star, you will absolutely enjoy this book. If you are offended by a lot of VERY GRAPHIC sex, you will not enjoy this book. For those of you who like erotic romance, I highly recommend reading Backstage Pass.

  3. This ones been on my to read list for a while. Sounds pretty steamy! Some of the hero/heroine names are a bit off putting. I think Myrna would give me a little pause too. One of my favorite off names was Howard. I just couldn’t help but giggle at inappropriate times over that one :)
