Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.  This meme is simple and fun, you just pick up your current read, flip to a random page, and choose 1 or 2 teaser sentences to share!

Top-off Tuesday: What better way than to top off a good book than with a GREAT Cover!

Every week, Amanda from On a Book Bender, Christi from Smitten with Reading, and Felicia from the Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog want to see those Top Off covers that grab your attention!  To play along, share your favorite covers (old, new, or coming soon).  Every once in a while there are covers that just make you say Oh My!  Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad, and sometimes it is head scratching.

I am getting ready to start reading Forbidden by Jacquelyn Frank, the first book in The World of the Nightwalkers series.  It’s a paranormal romance read and I’m very excited to jump into this one.  I picked it for Top-Off Tuesday as well because…. well, I can’t seem to resist the ab-tastic covers ;) … plus, this cover dude has the handsome scruff and a tattoo.  I was sold.

*My teaser comes from the advanced reader copy from Ballentine Publishing and is subject to change*

That was when Docia realized the grand and composed woman was more than a little afraid. She glanced over her shoulder once again, and there was another wash of warmth, again like sun radiating off well-baked sand. (5% on kindle)

Book Blurb from Goodreads:

From New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank comes this first book in The World of the Nightwalkers—an exciting and sensual new spin-off series in which the Bodywalkers, an ancient race of the night, battles the evil forces who prey on them.

The unexpected happens in an instant. On her way to work, secretary Docia Waverley hurtles into a crashing crossroads, and she quickly begins to suspect that things will never be the same. Then, when a tall, blond, muscular stranger intervenes on her behalf, telling her it is his duty to protect her at all cost, what is just a feeling turns to proof positive. That is, as long as Docia’s savior doesn’t turn out to be a crazed kidnapper.

When Ram finds Docia, he has no doubt that she is his queen. But as this golden warrior sweeps in to protect her, he feels something more than body heat every time they touch. He is overwhelmed by a searing connection that goes deep into the twin souls inside him. A desire rises in him that is forbidden—this woman is his queen, the mate of his king, his leader, his best friend. And yet Docia is so vulnerable and attractive that she awakens a hunger in Ram that is undeniable, a carnal craving he cannot yield to . . . not without risking the very survival of the Bodywalkers.

So, that’s my Teaser and Top-Off Tuesday for you all today!  Forbidden releases on October 30, my review should be up around then too.  I am looking forward to seeing all your teasers and Top-Off book covers!
