The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
~this meme was inspired in part by – In My Mailbox~

It’s a chance to share News.

A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

As the title of this post suggests, I am making some changes to Book Savvy Babe blog.  The most exciting change: I am looking for an associate reviewer!  I have had some promising responses so far, and I am getting more and more confident with this decision.  If you or someone you know might be interested in reviewing at Book Savvy Babe, please visit THIS POST to apply.

For those of you following me via Google +, As of August 1, I will be deleting that account.  Please follow me on Facebook or twitter instead (links at the top right sidebar)

I will also be making some slight changes to my review policy in regards to Do-Not-Finish books, lead times for reviews, and such.  In light of recent…discussions… online about behavior and negative reviews, I will be adding more detailed disclaimers about my policies and rating systems.  I am still working all these thoughts out in my head, and nothing is finalized yet.  Also, when a new reviewer is added to the line up, things will have to adjust accordingly…

My goals for these changes are to maintain the integrity of this blog, to tighten up some open ends in my policies, and to make Book Savvy Babe more functional, while giving me more room to focus on events and interviews, etc.  If anyone has another tips, PLEASE SHARE!! :)

Back to the blog: I had a great week here at Book Savvy Babe, in addition to the upcoming changes, I had some great reviews, a giveaway, and joined in some fun memes.

  1. Sounds like you have a lot developing with your blog. Good for you! I hope that you find the perfect reviewer to join your awesome blog. The Hot Reads sounds like fun..but my August is so overbooked with reviews i may be forgoing sleep..hehehe. I cannot begin to tell you how green with envy i am regarding Seawitch..i would be reading that right this second..love the series!!! Thanks for being a part of the Sunday Post..have a great week Heather :)

  2. Looks like you received several good looking books this week. I hope you enjoy that Rachel Caine book. I’m a huge fan of her Morganville Vampire books, but unfortunately I wasn’t that impressed with the Zombie series above, however I’ll definitely be reading Two Weeks Notice, so I’m hoping it’s great and we both love it!;) As far as all this reviewer drama going on the web now, it’s such a Dissapointment that anonymous people are putting such a damper on hobbies like reading/blogging/reviewing that we all love so much just makes me sad. :( Hopefully it will go away soon. Hope your having an awesome weekend!:)

  3. You got some great books this week. It takes time to get up and running. I am still learning to do everything too. I really enjoy blogging, and I hope you get everything all situated soon. i have to go and check out your review on The Golden Lily, I can’t get it from my library to save my life. 4. Oh, I need to go read your review of Witchful thinking!

Those are some good changes to make; I have tweaked my policies several times in the past two years and I’m thinking, for reasons similar to yours, that it’s time to do so again. Good luck with an associate reviewer, that should ease things for you.

  5. I have read all of TR&TR. LOVED THEM. I haven’t reviewed them and need to.

Hope your vacation is going well!

  7. I haven’t heard of any of these but man you have me curious! Hope you enjoy!

  8. Awesome haul this week! I have already added it to my TBR list.

  9. I’ve tweaked my policy as well due to recent events, but I still feel like I’ve left something out, lol. Also I think it’s great you’re getting an associate reviewer, I bet that will be pretty cool.
Also fairly jealous of your haul this week.

    Thanks for stopping by!
